生物特征识别与加密方向介绍

生物特征识别是结合人体生物特征所具有的普遍性、唯一性和稳定性等优点,以人体生理特征或行为特征为识别对象,研究个体身份识别与认证技术。随着网络和电子信息技术的发展,自动生物特征识别已成为一种快速、便捷、可靠的身份认证手段,然而由此产生的物理身份安全隐患问题严重阻碍了其进一步的发展和应用。生物特征加密将生物特征识别与密码学相结合,在避免生物特征模板泄漏的同时保护了生物体所属信息。生物特征识别目前主要研究现场指纹、交叉库指纹的匹配问题以及无接触掌纹的识别问题。生物特征识别与加密研究组致力于将生物特征识别的基础算法,同时结合传统信息安全手段开发实用、高效、安全的密码生物识别系统。研究组在现场指纹的增强领域进行了深入的研究,并在国际顶级期刊PAMI及TIFS上发表了多篇文章。

Biometric recognition is based on the physiological or behavioral characteristics, which have the advantages of universality, uniqueness and stability for individual identification and authentication. With the development of the internet and electronic information engineering, automatic biometric recognition becomes a fast, convenient and reliable identity authentication method. However, the resulting physical identity safety problems seriously hinder further development and application. Biometric Encryption combines biometric recognition with cryptography so that it can prevent leakage of the biometric template while protecting individual information. Biometric recognition research in our group mainly includes latent fingerprint matching, cross matching and contactless palmprint matching. The Biometric Recognition and Encryption (BRE) group devotes its efforts to biometric fundamental issues and the combination of biometric recognition and information security method with the aim of developing a practical, efficient and secure biometric encryption system. Our group has made great progress in the  enhancement of latent fingerprint area, and published several articles in PAMI and TIFS.
